Matè is the epitome of Cantine Cifarelli’s love for Matera, which has been expressed for years. An idea developed of a passion for high-quality products and a strong connection to the land. A new brand, a new product range dedicated completely to the Sassi city. We wanted to capture Matera in all of its essence, from the name to the content, and encase it in an attractive bottle with its scents, aromas, and experiences. It will be a true delight to taste Matera in only one sip. The best botanicals in the area were sought, selected, and tested to develop the most authentic exact recipe of Matera, thanks to the invaluable assistance of Piero Manicone, an established bartender who grew up in the mixology industry. Matè was born in this way, as a result of a collaborative effort, the fusion of various passions, and a variety of experiences, all bound together by a single denominator: a love for Matera.

Very recently, Soc. Agr. San Vito a r.l. has joined JAPAN Wines, Spirits and Beers Competition 2022 and won TWO Gold Medal Award and Silver Medal Award in this prestigious competition:

Question 1: Do you already export to JAPAN ? If yes, where ? If no, what type of importers & distributors are you looking for in JAPAN ?

No, I am looking for importers for wine and distillates.

Question 2: What is the most unique and qualitative part of your products, different from competitors ?

Our products are closely linked to the territory, tell the story and describe the culture of Matera. The mixing of the “pink gin” with “white bitter” and “vèmut” creates the most requested cocktail in Italy, the Negroni … indeed the Matègroni!

Question 3: When did you start to export your brand worldwide, and what is your development plan for the next years ?

We are a young company, we produce our wines and distilled in a traditional way and we want them to make them known throughout the world.
