DFJ Vinhos is one of Portugal’s most innovative and highly awarded wine producers.
They operate with 22 distinct grape varieties and have estates in the Lisboa, Douro, Setubal, Alentejo, and Tejo wine regions.
The company is headed by Portugal’s top winemaker, José Neiva. In the past José worked with some of Portugal’s largest wineries and was one of the world’s most productive winemakers. He has been leading the way for over 40 years and was just named “Senhor do Vinho” – the highest honor for a distinguished career – at the “Portuguese Wine Oscars.”
Born and nurtured on the Quinta do Porto Franco, a wine and vineyard estate that many historians consider to be one of the oldest in the council of Alenquer, with roots dating back to before the establishment of the Portuguese nation. Much of the raw material used to manufacture the best DFJ Vinhos wines comes from this estate’s greatness, according to José Neiva Correia, who was born in 1949 and is one of the country’s most productive winemakers. This is the company he founded over a decade ago, and it currently produces six million bottles each year on average, over 40 brands and 110 different wines from all of mainland Portugal’s regions, except the Vinhos Verdes.
José Neiva Correia, a descendant of generations committed to the art of viniculture on both his father’s and mother’s lines, followed in his family’s footsteps not just out of inclination, but also with meticulous professionalism. Those who know and work with him frequently comment on his originality and the passion that goes into each of his varied and distinctive wines, which feature a blend of unlikely grape varietals and unexpected results. ALTA CORTE RED 2019 – Regional Lisboa – 12,5%
Aging for 2 months in new French oak barrels. Minimum of 3 months in bottle after bottling.
Garnet in color, it contains enticing aromas, a good body and an intense, velvety and persistent palate. Among the many and varied flavors we find figs, cherries and apricots, discreetly enveloped in vanilla, from the oak wood where it aged.
ALUADO RED cork 2020 – Regional Lisboa – 13,0%
After bottling, the wine ages for at least 3 months in bottle.
Black-purple and brilliant, this is a dense, firm wine. It has a rich aroma of plums and juicy black berries. Powerful, very full-bodied and structured, yet soft and velvety. Tasty, delicious, elegant, with a long and intense finish and refreshing acidity.
ALUADO White cork 2020 – Regional Lisboa – 13,0%
If you enjoy a white with a real zip of freshness along with appealing ripe fruit, this ocean-cooled Chardonnay from Portugal will perfectly fit the bill.
ALUADO Reserva RED cork 2018 – Regional Lisboa – 13,0%
Deep, bright purple. Aroma of ripe blackberry, plum, plum and sour cherries, spices. Black and full-bodied, velvety texture, abundant black fruits, good freshness and spices too. Very tasty, delicious, elegant with a long and intense finish.
A pleasure as a strong aperitif, great with red meats, large red steaks, mushroom risotto, pasta, vegetarian dishes, spicy cuisine with lots of spices and dry cheeses. We recommend serving at a temperature of 16 -18ºC. We also recommend it with fish with a lot of omega 3, grilled sardines, salmon and cod at a temperature of 14 – 16ºC.
CASA do LAGO RED scap 2020 – Regional Lisboa – 12,5%
Aging for 3 months in 225Lt French Allier oak barrels. Minimum of 3 months in bottle after bottling.
Due to its strong ruby color, one can easily guess not only its full-bodied character but also its fruity style. Full of personality, yet velvety, it offers a delicious flavor of berries and violet, complemented by a touch of spice. The finish is elegant and lasts pleasantly on the palate.
CASA do LAGO Grande Reserva RED cork 2017 – Regional Lisboa – 13,5%
Aging for 6 months in 225Lt Allier French barrels. Aging for 3 months in bottle after bottling.
Full-bodied but smooth wine, very aromatic, fruity, delicious and with an elegant and very persistent finish. Great wine for social occasions or as a complement to strong and spicy cuisine.
CORETO RED scap 2020 – Regional Lisboa – 11,5%
Minimum 1 month aging in bottle after bottling.
Coreto could be the perfect choice for your everyday wine. It is produced from selected varieties, with an aroma of red fruits, a dark ruby color and an excellent balance between youth and softness.
ESCADA Rose scap 2020 – Regional Lisboa – 12,5%
Minimum one month in bottle after filling.
Bright light pink, very aromatic with ripe red fruits. Very tasty, refreshing, elegant, soft, great for daily consumption.
ESCADA Reserva White scap 2020 – Regional Lisboa – 11,5%
Bright, fruity, refreshing with notes of apple and lemon in the aroma and taste. Very pleasant, elegant and easy to drink, smooth, with an intense and long aftertaste.
Excellent aperitif, it is also a delicious complement to oysters, seafood, fish, white meat, vegetarian, Indian and Thai dishes, as well as lighter flavored dishes and fresh cheeses. We recommend serving at a temperature of 8-10ºC.

Aging for 3 months in 225Lt French Allier oak barrels from Seguin Moreau. After bottling, the wine ages for at least 3 months in bottle.
Red, almost black, shiny, with an intense aroma of ripe wild berries. Powerful, very full-bodied and structured, but soft, velvety, combining well the ripe fruit with the wood from the 3-month stage. Tasty, elegant, with some complexity, long and intense finish.
PAXIS BULLDOG RED scap 2020 – Regional Lisboa – 12,5%

A delicious wine. Although the palate is very concentrated, it has a surprisingly smooth character. It is a medium-bodied wine and is full of aromas of black cherries, raspberries and spicy notes. The finish is elegant and persistent.
