Les Vignobles Jaubert : A Traditional Viticulture with a Modern Spirit

Les Vignobles Jaubert - Business News Japan

The combination of traditional and modern techniques allows Les Vignobles Jaubert to produce quality wines while respecting the environment, with a concern for the conservation of the winery.

Les Vignobles Jaubert wines are the product of the combination of microclimates and unique geological contexts that allow their various grape varieties to fully express themselves. The human experience, a heritage of family know-how that has passed from father to son for many generations, is added to this.

Les Vignobles Jaubert estates benefiting from the Bordeaux appellation are located on the L’Entre-Deux-Mers plateau. This limestone plateau, about forty meters thick, is located south of the city of Bordeaux between the Garonne and the Dordogne.

Les Vignobles Jaubert all wines from their Graves vineyards are vinified in their cellars in Saint-Selve.

The Graves appellation area extends over the left bank of the Garonne, from Langon to the gates of the city of Bordeaux. The Graves are deposits of gravel and pebbles often mixed with sand and clay, deposited by the Garonne. It is the only appellation in France which owes its name to its geological nature. These gravels form a series of gently sloping terraces that get older the further you get from the river.

The particularity of the bass is that it stores the heat from the sun’s rays to redistribute it at night. This thermal balance brings the grapes to optimal maturity and thus develops aromas of candied red fruits.

Very recently, Les Vignobles Jaubert has joined JAPAN Awards 2021 and won 2 Gold Medal Awards and a Silver Medal in this competition:

100% Malbec Black Plum & Boysenberry. Chocolate, Violets & Graphite Malbec may be best known for its work in Argentina’s mighty Mendoza and increasingly well known as the native of Southwestern France’s Cahors, but it was here in Bordeaux that the name, “Malbec,” for what had hitherto been called Côt was first applied. This rendition from the southern reaches of the Entré-Deux-Mers celebrates the variety’s quarter-millennial presence in Bordeaux.

Château Allégret – Bordeaux rouge – 2020

Awarded Gold by Business News Japan

Chateau Allégret presents a traditional expression of a classic Bordeaux wine. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot gives the wine bright and rich red fruits, such as black currants and fresh berries. Layered with the dry tannins and concentrated texture, while balanced with its acidity and minerality, this wine drinks beautifully from start to the structured finish.

Jaubert – Bordeaux blanc – 2020
