The historical presence is determined by its extensive cellar vault and the powerful technique, but also by wonderful spaces for presentations and costs. It lies on the Bavarian side of the Main – with Blick on the castle – directly opposite the mouth of the Tauber.

The winery built in Peter Herrschaft in the year 1594, in Kreuzwertheim, with its distinctive staff building has been expanded since over 400 years of wine.

In 1611, the Wertheimer Counties acquired the presence to extract their wines from the best layers. At this time, the Wertheimer wine was known far beyond the boundaries of the county.

When Goethe exclaimed: “Bring me another eyer of Wertheymer”, this was most of a wine grown in the Kreuzwertheimer Kaffelstein and in the Reicholzheimer Satzenberg, the two best steels of the marking.

The Spielmann wine cellar was founded in 1932 in Fischergasse in Wertheim, and today they are the third generation to trade wine. When the grandfather announced his founding advert in the local magazine, it was particularly important to him that he “The highest demands of its valued customers” justice. Basically, nothing has changed in this winery. They try to present an optimum of quality for all wines that also takes into account the respective price structure.

WEINGUT ALTE GRAFSCHAFT wines has recently been awarded two Gold Medal and a Silver Medal at Japan Awards 2019.
