Scea Chateau Haut Pougnan : Produce extremely delicate wines with precise bouquets

Scea Chateau Haut Pougnan by Business News Japan

Scea Chateau Haut-Pougnan is located in the center of Entre-Deux-Mers, a wine area in Bordeaux, France, on the slopes of the right bank of the Garonne, on outstanding clay-limestone and gravelly soils. The plantation’s red wine vineyards are located in the east and south, while white wine vineyards are located in the west.

The clay-limestone composition of the soils in the area allows the vineyard to produce extremely delicate wines with precise bouquets.

When it comes to white wines, the best way to enjoy them is to drink them right away. They’re a terrific addition to meals that use fish and seafood. Aperitifs and cold slices of meat go well with rosé wines. These wines improve greatly in the first two years. The red wine matures in oak barrels for one year after three to five years. Great vintages mature nicely in the cellar for eight to 10 years.

Scea Chateau Haut Pougnan has received two gold medals for their white wines in the JAPAN Awards 2022:

Chateau Haut Pougnan AOC Bordeaux Blanc 2021

Awarded Gold by Business News Japan

Chateau Les Moutins AOC Bordeaux Blanc 2021
