Alessandro Berselli , founder of the ALMA WINES project and concept, created this brand not only with the aim of producing exciting wines, but also with the aim of sharing the prodigious and elaborate Italian wine heritage.

The name ALMA is closely related to its creator. He is the main character in the ALMA story and it was logical that our name referred to his experience. Alessandro Berselli graduated with a doctorate in Economics from the University of Bologna, the oldest university in the world founded in 1088, as well as one of the main academic institutions in Italy and Europe. Its historical name was: Alma Mater Studiorum. Alma is a mysterious term that has various origins. Of Spanish and Italian origins, Alma means “soul”, the essence or embodiment of specific qualities. Of Latin origin, Alma also means tutoring, encouragement and support. This fits perfectly with our vision and concept to promote Italian wine culture globally.

This term has remained etched in Alessandro’s mind over time and is closely linked to his deep love for Bologna. It seemed perfect to promote the centuries-old winemaking traditions of the Italian panorama. It is an icon of the unique character of the regional expression, of the great research aimed at combining different identities to make them travel together in unison. The intent to combine different assets under one brand was an innovative and forward-looking project, which proved to be an essential vision for the future.

ALMA’s philosophy is based on a revolutionary concept. The soul of Italian wine  must be inclusive of the many traditions and expressions of which it is composed. We aim to promote the vast and unique Italian wine heritage by maintaining and strengthening regional authenticity and authenticity. Tradition can be maintained only if combined with innovation and, mutually, innovation must always maintain a deep respect and honor for traditions.

ALMA may have a uniquely Italian soul, but our vision is global. Our Italian roots are the basis on which we built our legacy. We could not be more proud of our origin and that is why we want to share our millennial tradition, love, passion and vision with the whole world. Italian wine culture is an immense and noble patrimony that must be revealed to everyone. Our soul is Italian, but our spirit is universal.

ALMA WINES was founded in 2003 as an Italian producer of fine wines. From the beginning, our commitment has been to spread and share the essence of  the secular tradition  all over the world. It is with this idea always at the basis of our decisions that the brand was developed in a company with a production that extends to famous wine-growing areas, using authentic Italian noble varieties.

Very recently, ALMA WINES SRL has joined Japan Awards 2020 and won two Gold medal award and a silver medal award in this prestigious competition:
